Pets Welcome

Baker Rocks is a boutique nature experience nestled between the Lakes Region and White Mountains of New Hampshire, USA. Located along 3,000 feet of the Baker River and across from well-known Rumney Rocks climbing area, we offer unique accommodations, event spaces, store, and farm stand. In addition we provide such amenities as a nature-based playground, CrossFit and yoga space, private trails, and river access. What makes Baker Rocks unique is our attention to you, our community, and the environment. We want you to unpack everything you know about staying in campgrounds. Camp within the bounds of a safe and amenity-driven environment while still actually camping IN nature. You have space and it isn’t over developed. Moreover, we are here to make your trip absolutely memorable. We want to help create a special experience. Nothing is too big, small, or unique. PLEASE JUST ASK! Message, see us at the office, call. However, we are generally a CONTACTLESS camp. All the information you need is provided in your confirmation email. We live and work onsite, but are always DOING to improve the space and don't find it useful for staff to site in an office at all times.

Camping sites, glamp tents, cabins, yurt, dome, we have an accommodation to suit you.

We’re a small scale family farm growing flowers, vegetables, and herbs. We also rear small animals - goats, rabbits, pigs, and birds.

An idyllic space to host a reunion, corporate retreat, training, workshop, or any such special event.

Natural flowers, wild strawberries, animal habitats, forests, river, wetlands, and so much more.

Check-in at/after 3pm and check-out by 11am. We DO NOT have a manned reception. You go straight to your site, directions are included in your confirmation email. Questions may be sent via email or text. Additional information IS available in our 24-hr store.

We allow up to two pets per site, for a fee. Owners are responsible for ensuring pets are up to date on vaccines and watched at all times on site.

Only our  Cabins have air conditioning. Our yurt, dome, tents, and all campsites are without electricity and access a shared bathhouse. The yurt and dome do have wood stoves for early spring and fall nights.

Cabins have wifi. Wifi for camp accommodations may be accessed at the store, bathhouse, and barn areas. Cell service depends on carriers.

Absolutely. We do not use toxic chemicals on our property. During peak tick season we weekly spray camp sites with permethrin, but we do not commercially spray. You are IN nature. Come prepared. We suggest a “natural” oil body repellent – SSS, Sawyer Products, or Ranger Ready and outdoor foggers/Thermacell for your tent and picnic area. Pro tip: spray inside your tent before dinner or a campfire.

We have two beaches (one is a longer, rougher walk but completely secluded) that may be accessed for swimming, tubing, kayaking, and relaxing.

Good shoes, river shoes/sandals, rain gear (just in case), extra blankets/towels, bug spray, sunscreen, hat.

Recycling is mandatory at Baker Rocks. We ask that you leave no trace at your site. Your trash must be taken away for the purposes of animal (read: bear) safety.

Come prepared for the experience you want to have. Pack as though you are camping. Ensure you are mobile and comfortable enough for the site you choose (as many sites are remote, dark, and near the water).

First and foremost, come out. We have an accommodation that’s right for you. At Baker Rocks you will find the most diverse array of accommodations on offer - but we don’t have many, so book early!!! You may choose from a traditional tent campsite, glamp tents, yurt, dome, or a luxurious cabin.

Mother Nature has provided a pretty amazing canvas. Walk our trails and you will see a variety of natural flowers, wild strawberries, animal habitats, forests, wetlands, and so much more. We are committed to keeping things rustic and beautiful, while also providing access and minimal enhancement. From almost every vantage, you stand (or sit) in awe of the mountains and sky. The fog rolls in just above the tree line and as the sun rises, the mountains are exposed. Summer nights bring intense sunsets of pink, purple, and orange. Fall in New England is exquisite and the colors here do not disappoint. Stargazing is breathtaking year round! The deer, turkey, beavers, otters, bear, and occasional moose peacefully coexist.

We have a gym, nature-based playground for the youngsters, games, a camp store selling provisions and luxuries, gathering pavilion, short hiking trail, and river access for kayaks and rafts.

At Baker Rocks, Camp Free or Die is our business, but it’s also an ethos - a way of life - a mindset - a personality. Being free of encumbrances, confinement, pollution; being free to enjoy the landscape in its natural form, find harmony with wildlife, stand in awe of the beauty. It’s about creating a space that blends and respects nature and is where we want to wake up every day. Just get out there. Enjoy the space, take a moment to see it all.
